Mother will come back tomorrow. She has been away from the house for about three weeks now. I thank God that her health is better and she is able to move from one place to another. I’ve seen many who are in sickness even before they reached the age of 60. Mother is now above 70 and is still strong and healthy for her age.
It is not easy to care for the elderly. Some would have gotten amnesia and would not remember much. They would not even recognize their own children or grandchildren. And if the elderly is sick, it takes lots of patience and love to care for them. Of course, nowadays the first option would be to send the elderly to a nursing home. If you are staying in New York City, you can send your elderly to the nursing homes in New York City.
There are some who feels that it is better for the children to care for their aging parents. There are pros and cons on whether to send the aging parents to nursing home. Whatever you decide let it all be done in love. As for now, I pray that mother would live a long healthy life.

IT’s hard to decide whether to bite the bullet and bring the parent(s) into your own home to care for them or whether to find a quality senior living facility for them.
I think kids and your work responsibilities factor into the equation a lot.
