It is always good for business to have competitions. I am talking businesses competing with each other in a healthy environment. Yes, there are times when the competition is one-sided and a big detriment to the business itself. Talking about healthy business competition, I am reminded of the new internet marketing. This new strategy where audio ads are “shown” to every visitor to the website or blogs is indeed a good and healthy competition to the existing ads marketing companies. For blog or website owners, all you need to do is to monetize your blog or site by signing up and add the various codes required to display the audio ads. It is as easy as that. So, do not wait any further, go and monetize your site. It is a strategy that benefits both the advertisers and the website or blog owners.

Whether we like it or not, in business we have to use certain tool to help us serve the customer better, making the business more cost effective and efficient in order to gain more profit.

There are many business tools in the market but the one that is very hot now is the Six Sigma. I have yet to find our more detail on it. Maybe I just sign up for a Six Sigma Consulting and see where I can improve in my business.

For a healthier mind, body and spirit, I decided to close my internet cafe business on Sunday. Well, you might think that I am crazy because Sunday is the day with the most customers. But I am trusting God for His blessing. The main thing now is to honour God’s day; the Sabbath day.

Furthermore, if I work on Sunday, it will also mean, no football for me. There goes my once a week exercise. Apart from that, I will also have no time for my family.

So, Sunday is closed.

I came across this website on Oregon Vacation Rental where they offer cheap vacation accommodations in Oregon. I am not planning to go for a holiday there for this year as I know I would not be able to afford the air fare to Oregon. Furthermore, I would want to concentrate on building up my business this year. Yes, I already planned to be more involved in the running and managing of the business. I know and I believes that God would want to bless the business according to my faith.

As a start, I want to honor God but not doing business on Sunday. I want to honor God’s instruction to have a Sabbath every week. I would not want to go into theological debate on whether Sunday or Saturday is the actual Sabbath day. As long as there is a day set aside for God, a day of rest from work, I believe that is pleasing to God. God knows that His creation must have a regular and set time of rest, which is good for the body. If not, most of us would work everyday if we can to gain more money.

Well, I also believe that the time will also come when my family and I would be able to go for a holiday in Oregon or other places. Will be looking forward for that too.

Michelle and I went to MacDonald for supper. Well supper for me but dinner for her. She had Prosperity burger and I ate onion rings and French Fries. We had a good talk over the food.

The next day, she complained of stomach ache. Not because of food poisoning but because of irregular eating time. It was way from her dinner time and because of that the stomach experienced discomfort. Must force her to have her regular eating time. Good eating habits will ensure good health too.

What would happened if you are working everyday and have no off days for you to rest? I guess lots of things can happened especially those that affects your health. Yes, starting this year, I would be working everyday at my shop until I can get another temporary staff or reschedule my working time. One thing for sure is that I would not have my regular weekly football game which I really look forward to. Looks like I would have to figure out ways to do simple exercises everyday in order to keep my body healthy. Or else, in 10 years down the road, I would have to consider going to lap-band Houston. Hope that would not be something that I really have to consider. As for now, I would just go for 30 minutes exercises and fun time with my children. I think they too needs to exercise and it would be fun to exercise with them.

These four classified ads appeared in a newspaper on four consecutive days. The last three hopelessly trying to correct the first day’s mistake…

MONDAY: For sale - Vishanth has a sewing machine for sale. Phone 9840716581 after 7PM and ask for Mrs Mani who lives with him cheap.

TUESDAY: Notice: We regret having erred in Vishanth’s ad yesterday. It should have read, “One sewing machine for sale cheap. Phone 98407 16581 and ask for Mrs Mani, who lives with him after 7PM.”

WEDNESDAY: Notice: Vishanth has informed us that he has received several annoying telephone calls because of the error we made in the classified ad yesterday. The ad stands correct as follows: “For sale - Vishanth has a sewing machine for sale; Cheap. Phone 98407 16581 after 7PM and ask for Mrs. Mani who loves with him.

THURSDAY: Notice: I, Vishanth, have no sewing machine for sale. I smashed it. Don’t call 98407 16581 as I have had the phone disconnected.. I have not been carrying on with Mrs. Mani. Until yesterday, she was my housekeeper but she quit!
