I guess many have tried to get back in shape. I was an athlete and I wished that I still have the body shape when I was in my early twenties. The V shape and the six abs abdomen has somehow disappeared or magically transformed into one big middle kingdom. After years of the reign of the middle kingdom, I decided that it is time to return back the reign to six smaller kingdom (or realistically to four smaller kingdoms). Its all about determination to have that V shape body again.
Since it has been a while since I went for an intense body training regime, I decided that the best way to start is by cycling. Any bicycle would do for a start but once you are ready to go for long distance, a good and reliable bicycle is necessary. If you plan to cycle at the beach, maybe getting the micargi beach cruiser would be a good choice. I cycle for 10km each time I have the opportunities to do so. Cycling does not put a lot of pressure on your body compared to jogging and you can go far if you want to.
When the weather does not permit me to go cycling, I would use my rebounder. It is like a trampoline but smaller in size. Don’t confuse it with lacrosse rebounder as you can’t jump on lacrosse rebounder. A good 15 minutes of jumping on the rebounder is good enough to burn away some extra calories. Of course if you play the lacrosse game, that would be an added bonus to your health. Of if you play baseball, that too would definitely help you to get back in shape. Just make sure you have the proper baseball cleats that would help you in the game.
Oh ya, don’t forget the dumbbells. It will help you a lot to tone your muscles. What is the proper weight for you? Someone suggested that the proper dumbbell weight is when you get tired after lifting it 10 times. Not too light or too heavy. And do the lifting as often as you can throughout the day. Find a suitable exercise where you can exercise your stomach muscles. That would definitely hasten the decentralization of the middle kingdom into smaller kingdoms. And for goodness sake, watch your diet.
