It is well known that fish oil is needed for our body. Fish oil contains polyunsaturated fat called Omega 3 fatty acids that our body needs. Unfortunately our body does not produce Omega 3 fatty acids and thus has to rely on outside source. Well there are two ways to ensure your body received sufficient fish oil or to be more specific the Omega 3 fatty acids. Firstly, you can eat lots of fish or secondly take it in the pill/tablet form. Well, I guess you can do both if you want.

I have the habit of popping in fish oil capsules whenever I feel that my body is weakening. When my nose starts to “run” or when I feels lethargic then I know my body immune system is low and needs to be strengthen. That is the time I ensure I take all the vitamins, nutrients and fish oil.

For those who want to know about fish oil benefits for the body, here are some of it:

  • Regulating the body’s cholesterol levels
  • Alleviate the symptoms of arthritis
  • Prevent rickets.
  • Preventing heart disease
  • Thwarting off certain types of cancer
  • Helping with cognitive function and brain development

On the light note, when someone says that “John sounds fishy”, does that mean that John talks like a fish. Why fish is connected to something negative when is bring good health to our body? Anyway, if you smells fishy, don’t come near me.

Durian is fattening and high in cholesterol. I read that eating durian is like eating meat. I somehow find it very true. If I eat those thick and creamy ones, 2 cloves of it will make me really full to the extend that I will skip my lunch.

But then, if you are a durian lovers, 2 cloves of durian is not enough. Some can even eat a few durians at one go!

This year’s durian season, I am been feasting on durian like never before especially at my mom’s house. Even though we do not have any durian tree at home, a lot of my dad’s friends and relatives gave us durians.

Miraculously, I can eat durian without gagging or vomiting anymore. And I can eat more than just 2 pieces at one time. That day, I ate 9 pieces of thick, creamy durian and I wanted more but I refrained myself from eating more coz I know that durian is fattening and is high in cholesterol.

Be sure to go for a jog or hit the gym after you feast on the durians!

Of all the nuts that I have eaten before, my favorite is Almond. I am not good at describing food but if you have eaten before, especially those in chocolates, I am sure you would like it too. A few times when someone or wifey buys me Almond Chocolate, I will break the chocolate and eat the Almond only. The chocolate will go to my children’s tummy. LOL!

I found some interesting fact about the goodness of Almond. And I am glad that I like Almond coz it helps to reduce my cholesterol level. My siblings tend to easily get high cholesterol.
