A friend of mine just told me that she was on medical leave today due to UTI. Huh??? UTI only needs to rest at home eh? According to her, she woke up in the morning with her world spinning like a top. She only managed to get out of bed by noon and head to the clinic for check up as she worried that she might have high blood pressure or diabetes.

Blood test came out negative for high blood pressure and diabetes. However the urine test showed acidic which means she has infection. The doctor told her that infection can cause giddiness. And stress can cause UTI.

With the impending economic slowdown, and many are out of jobs while thousands more will be joining the unemployed. The mere thoughts of losing your job can cause tremendous stress especially to those who have bills to pay and debts to settle. Thousands more from the colleges and universities who will graduate will find no jobs waiting for them. Career Counseling will be something that they should consider. In times like these they can’t be so choosy. As long as the daily needs are met, it is indeed a blessing. What is more important is that we must keep our sanity intact.

Stress and pressures at work or the thoughts of having no money can be too heavy to bear. If you feel that you really cannot take the pressure anymore, by all means go and find Depression Treatment Centers. Minimize your spending and find ways to live within your means. Focus on having financial freedom as soon as you can. At the same time make sure that your family are still shown the same love and care, if not more. For those who have the desire to further your studies, now will be the best time to go for higher education. Whatever situation you are in, there is always a way out. It will always be difficult, but it is still better than losing your sanity.

For a healthier mind, body and spirit, I decided to close my internet cafe business on Sunday. Well, you might think that I am crazy because Sunday is the day with the most customers. But I am trusting God for His blessing. The main thing now is to honour God’s day; the Sabbath day.

Furthermore, if I work on Sunday, it will also mean, no football for me. There goes my once a week exercise. Apart from that, I will also have no time for my family.

So, Sunday is closed.

There will be some people who would not have someone to be with this Christmas. Not that they do not want to be with someone but circumstances force them to be alone. For those of us who would have someone to celebrate Christmas together, let us be thankful to God.

It always marvels me to see people who love to read. I mean they would spend hours and hours reading and reading. Their mind is like a sponge that is never full, absorbing everything that they can read. They are thirsty for more knowledge and would be looking for more books to read. You will know them when you see them in public. They would be the ones holding a book or novel and when you look at their eyes, you will noticed that it is as though they are in another world, the world created by the words in the book.

I am sure if you are given a tour in their house, you will find a bookshelf filled with books. I too have a bookshelf filled with books. Hahaha…okay, having a bookshelf does not mean that you are a bookworm. Mine was filled with books because I am doing my studies. I have many other books to keep and so I just put the books wherever there is space in the bookshelf. Unfortunately the bookshelf is not made of solid wood and is showing signs of breaking apart. Looks like I still have to get one Solid Oak Bookcases that will last long and able to bear the weight of the books. If you are experiencing the same problem like me, I would advise you to buy a good and solid bookshelf once and for all.

Now I need to train myself to read more books or at least read my course book. People say the reading is a form of exercise for the mind. Wah…if that is the case, then my mind is very weak and fat already, lack of exercise.

Having to move house can be a difficult and trying time. There are so many things to plan and do before the actual moving took place. What we need to do is not to worry but to take each matter one at time. We do not want to get easily upset when there are so many things yet to be done. A mind free of worries would make the transition much easier. Hmm… why am I writing about moving house?. Oh ya.

My older brother is moving back into the house. When he got married, he and his wife decided to move out and stay on their own. It was the wish of our mother that he could stay in the house to help out and also to provide company for her. However, since they decided to move out, there is nothing that we can do about it. Now, he told me that he plans to move in back to the house.

He also decided to renovate one of the rooms in our house to make it bigger. I guess he has a lot of things to bring back from his old house. Maybe he would need to use the removal services to bring all his things back here. If my brother engages them, then I would not have to bend my back to help him out. Everything will be handled by the moving company. Looks like life in the house will change again.

One of the ways man has been creative is in the world of sports. The fact that we have so many types of games shows the creativity characteristic of man. Almost everywhere we go, we can find some form of game that people play. It is this creative characteristic that God has imputed to us that enables us to create various games. Sometimes, even the children can create new games when they are playing in a group. Or they would add in new rules or new variations to the existing game.

Take baseball game for instance. Do you know that this game has evolved tremendously? Yes, the basic rule is still the same, i.e. you hit the ball with a baseball bat. However, in the past, the players catch the ball with bare hands. Now, we have all the equipments to make the game safer and fun to play. If you don’t believe me, go buy yourself the New York Yankees Spring Training tickets and see how the players play. Try and observe any kind of creative skills that the players display when they are playing. Don’t know where to look for? Well, try observing their techniques and you will be amazed.

Some people lamented that they are not creative. Well, I don’t think that is true. I believes that all have been created with a creative mind. The reason is simple. We are created by a creative God. And since we are created in His image, the creative aspect/characteristic of God was also imputed to us. And this creative characteristic can be seen everywhere.

However, this creative characteristic can be used positively and even negatively. Some may have a higher degree of creativity in them but all of us do have the creativity characteristic in us. So be creative and use this characteristic that God has given to us in a positive way.

In the previous post, the article talks about 911 disaster in particular. We too may have our own questions regarding what is happening around us. There are some of us who have experienced loss of loved ones, hardship, cruelty, injustice, and many more evil things. We may be wondering why does god allow suffering. And it is indeed a valid question to ask. Many times I too asked why does God allow pain and suffering especially when there is problem in my life.

It is okay to ask such questions to God. However, it is unhealthy to just leave it unanswered. It can create bitterness in our heart. Bitterness have been identified to be the catalyst if not the cause of many sicknesses. I have found the answers to most of my questions about God and suffering. One of the issues that people always worry is about money. Yes, that is true. Lack of money could be the main cause of grey hair and depression.
