For a healthier mind, body and spirit, I decided to close my internet cafe business on Sunday. Well, you might think that I am crazy because Sunday is the day with the most customers. But I am trusting God for His blessing. The main thing now is to honour God’s day; the Sabbath day.

Furthermore, if I work on Sunday, it will also mean, no football for me. There goes my once a week exercise. Apart from that, I will also have no time for my family.

So, Sunday is closed. :)

Sent the children to sleep last nite. It is a bit difficult when all three of them had to go to bed without feeling sleepy. After all of them got to their own places of sleep I would have to lay down beside Barnabas to ensure that he falls asleep first. Barnabas is not so choosy with me and after a while he is fast asleep. While lying down with Barnabas, Clarissa complained about wanting her Daddy to lay beside her. Told her to wait while Barnabas is trying to doze of.

But she can’t wait long. Before Barnabas could fall asleep, she cried for her daddy to sleep beside her. Had to ask her to come down and sleep near her daddy and Barnabas, to which she gladly obeyed. Before long Annabelle started to complaint to her daddy to come and sleep beside her also. Now the problem is that Clarissa is not yet asleep so I can’t be at two places at the same time. Thinking that Clarissa has gone to sleep, I went to lay down beside Annabelle. After a minute, Clarissa woke up and realized that I was not beside her and started crying. Had to ask her to come up and sleep beside me and Annabelle, to which she gladly obey again.

Lay down there until Clarissa fall asleep but Annabelle had difficulties sleeping. Assured her that she is loved by her daddy and mommy and Jesus. She nodded and then only she allows me to go out from the room.

One of the special day that we should celebrate is our birthday. And today, it is a joy to celebrate Michelle’s birthday. As I reflected back on her life, I realized that she has grown up to be a strong and mature lady. I praised and thanked God for molding her to be who she is now. I am indeed blessed to be given the responsibility and privilege of knowing and sharing my life with her.

Now, I am not saying that she is perfect in every way although that might cause her to float on air. She has many things that still need lots of improvement. But then, everybody on this earth also are far from being perfect. What is more important is counting the blessings or good things about her. And thinking of the good thing about her makes me realized that I am truly blessed.

I am still discovering her everyday. There are new things that emerges from her from time to time and this makes our married life an interesting one.

To you my dearest darling, the greatest wife on earth, I want to wish you, “Happy Birthday” and “I LOVE YOU”…still… hehehe.

Relationship is a very complicated thing. We have our own views, perceptions, likings and what not. We want companionship and yet we also want freedom. And if we do not manage the two sides of our wants and our responsibilities in marriage, it could lead to disaster. And it is a continuous process as long as we are alive. Give and take, humility, sacrifice, accepting one another, suffering, joy, happiness, secured, and many other words can describe the marriage.

Okaylah… just to lighten up the day, here is one humor about marriage.

Prior to our wedding, David and I met with the minister to discuss our marriage ceremony and various traditions, such as lighting the unity candle from two individual candles.
Couples usually blow out the two candles as a sign of becoming one. Our minister said that many people were now leaving their individual candles lit to signify independence and personal freedom. He asked if we wanted to extinguish our candles or leave them burning.
After thinking about it, David replied, “How about if we leave mine lit and blow out hers?”
